CHARMINAR
The Charminar is as much the signature of Hyderabad as the Taj
Mahal is of Agra or the Eiffel Tower is of Paris. Mohammed Quli Qutb
Shah, the founder of Hyderabad, built Charminar in 1591 at the
centre of the original city layout. It was said to be built as a
charm to ward off a deadly epidemic raging at that time. Four
graceful minarets soar to a height of 48.7m. above the ground.
Charminar has 45 prayer spaces and a mosque in it. Visitors can view
the architectural splendour inside the Charminar. The monument is
illuminated in the evenings and a pedestrianisation project around
the monument is under implementation
MAKKAH MASJID
Mecca Masjid: The biggest historical mosque in the southern
region, located near charminar, it was built by the 6th Qutb Shahi
king in 1614 and completing variations included by the Mughal king
Aurangazeb. The wonderful mosque can provide at time, nearly 10,000
individuals for providing desires. Star has it that some stones
introduced from the holy City Makkah-E-Mukarramah were used in the
development of the central arch of this mosque. Mecca Masjid is said
to be one of the most wonderful and biggest Mosques of India. Mecca
Masjid can provide around 10,000 worshippers at once.
CHOWMAHALLA PALACE
Chowmahalla Palace or Chowmahallat (4 Palaces), was a palace
belonging to the Nizams of Hyderabad state. It was the seat of the
Asaf Jahi dynasty and was the official residence of the Nizam. In
Persian, Chahar means four and in Arabic Mahalat (plural of Mahal)
means places, hence the name Chowmahallat/four places, or four
palaces.All ceremonial functions including the accession of the
Nizams and receptions for the Governor-General were held at this
palace.
GOLKONDA FORT
Golconda is one of the famous forts of India. The name
originates from the Telugu words “Golla Konda” meaning “Shepherd’s
Hill”. The origins of the fort can be traced back to the Yadava
dynasty of Deogiri and the Kakatiyas of Warangal. Golconda was
originally a mud fort, which passed to the Bahmani dynasty and later
to the Qutb Shahis, who held it from 1518 to 1687 A.D. The first
three Qutb Shahi kings rebuilt Golconda, over a span of 62 years.
The fort is famous for its acoustics, palaces, ingenious water
supply system and the famous Fateh Rahben gun, one of the cannons
used the last siege of Golconda by Aurangzeb, whom the fort
ultimately fell.
SALARJUNG MUSEUM
This museum houses one of the biggest one-man collections
of antiques of the world by Mir Yousuf Ali Khan, Salar Jung III. The
objects d’art include Persian carpets, Moghal miniatures, Chinese
porcelain, Japanese lacquerware, famous statues including the Veiled
Rebecca and Marguerite and Mephistopheles, a superb collection of
jade, daggers belonging to Queen Noor Jahan and the Emperors
Jahangir and Shah Jahan, Aurangzeb’s sword and many other fabulous
items.
NIZAM MUSEUM
His Exalted Highness, Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan (1911 – [1948] –
1967), ascended the throne on August 11th, 1911, at the age of 25.
His first Firman (Royal Decree) stated: “In every way I will do my
best to do good to my people and my State His first act as sovereign
was to abolish the death penalty which remained suspended from the
penal code throughout his reign. The seventh and last Nizam ruled
the state of Hyderabad and Berar from 1911 to 1948. He was a
studious and serious young man who studied and understood all the
state papers that his father sent him. He disliked frivolity and was
disinclined to outdoor activities that passed for sport in his
day.and Muslims are my two eyes” is remembered even today. Mir Osman
Ali Khan had a natural flair for both administration and finance.
SUDHAKAR CAR MUSEUM

QUTUB SHAHI TOMBS
The Qutub Shahi Tombs: The tombs differ in size but all are
comparable to each other in architectural grandeur and beauty.
Ironically, one of the most modest of these tombs belong to the
Qutub Shahi dynasty founder, Sultan Quli Qutub-ul-Mulk. He built his
tomb himself and it is just marked by simplicity and design
symmetry, standing on a platform 30 meters on each side. From the
plinth, the walls and the dome measure 12 meters while the ramparts
have four Bahmani-style bouquets on each side of the tomb. Inside,
the shape is octagonal with each side having a width of as much as
10 meters. Quli Qutub-ul-Mulk’s son’s tomb, Sultan Jamsheed Quli
Qutub Shah, is also quite modest although extremely imposing, as it
is standing on a high quadrangular platform.
Assembly
The imposing edifice of old Andhra Pradesh Legislative assembly
Building was constructed in the year 1913. Originally it was a ‘Town
Hall’ in the Nizam State. The citizens of Hyderabad raised funds to
build it to mark the 40th Birthday of King Nizam Mir Mahboob Ali
Khan and gave the Building as a Birthday gift to the King.On the
request of Nizam, Specially commissioned architects designed this
white gem of Hyderabad’s architectural splendour after they
specially visited the Rajasthan and inspired by the beautiful palace
architecture of the Pink City. The blend of Rajasthan and Persian
architecture is evident in this Town Hall of the Hyderabad
City.After the first general elections held in the year 1952 in the
Hyderabad State of Independent India, the ‘Town Hall’ was converted
into Hyderabad State Legislative Assembly Building. After the
formation of State of Andhra Pradesh on 1st November, 1956, the
Hyderabad State Legislative Assembly Building was renamed as
Building of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and continued till
3rd August, 1985.
BIRLA MANDIR
The temple is built on a 280 feet (85 m) high hillock
called the Naubath Pahad on a 13 acres (53,000 m2) plot. The
construction took 10 years and was consecrated in 1976 by Swami
Ranganathananda of Ramakrishna Mission. The temple does not have
traditional bells, as Swamiji wished that the temple atmosphere
should be conducive for meditation.This temple is one of the most
important religious place in India, B. M. Birla Science Museum is an
Indian science museum located in Hyderabad, India. Constructed by
civil engineer Mr. P. A. Singaravelu, it comprises a planetarium,
museum, science center, art gallery as well as a dinosaurium.[1] The
museum itself was the second phase of the science center when it
opened in 1990.
HUSSAIN SAGAR LAKE
Hussain sagar Lake: Excavated in 1562 A.D. by Hussain Shah
Wali during the time of Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah, the lake has a
viewpoint that is a fast paced thoroughfare these days. Enjoying
Boating and water sports are a regular feature in the Hussainsagar.
One of the world's highest monolithic sculptures of the Buddha
appears on the ‘Rock of Gibraltar’, in the middle of the lake.

Lumbini Park is a small public, urban park of 7.5 acres
(0.030 km2; 0.0117 sq mi) adjacent to Hussain Sagar in Hyderabad,
India. Since it is geographically located in the center of the city
and is in close proximity to other tourist attractions, such as
Birla Mandir and Necklace Road, it attracts many visitors throughout
the year. Constructed in 1994, the park is presently being
maintained by the Buddha Purnima Project Authority that functions
under the directives of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. In 2007,
it was one of the targets of the 25 August 2007 Hyderabad bombings
that killed 44 people.In 1994, Lumbini Park was constructed at a
cost of INR 2.35 crores on 5 acres (0.020 km2; 0.0078 sq mi) of land
adjacent to Hussain Sagar.With boating facilities, fun rides, laser
shows and more, Lumbini park is a perfect destination to spend a fun
day with your family or close ones.
JALAVIHAR PARK

attraction in NTR Gardens. Developed in an area of about 1,000 sq.
metres and has a wide variety of cacti and succulents, commonly
referred to as desert plants that are used in such as local
medicine, herbal cosmetics, treatment of leprosy and blood diseases
etc. These plants were brought in from all over India including
Kolkata and Shirdi apart from some nurseries. This project was
designed and initiated by famed art director, Mr. Nitish Roy.
SNOW WORLD
Snow world is the world's biggest and India's 1st snow
